I would like to personally thank you for your interest in becoming part of our volunteer family at the VA North Texas Health Care System, Dallas. It takes a special person to be a volunteer. It takes someone with compassion, skill and care. Thanks to you, no veteran cared for by VA is alone.

Mission: VA Volunteer service is dedicated to improving the quality of veteran patients by supplementing and assisting VA staff in the daily functions of their positions.
Vision: Ensuring that the VA Volunteer service program is touching the lives of veterans we serve today and the veterans we will serve tomorrow.
Customer service as defined for the Voluntary Service program is any activity that enhances the veterans' experience and exceeds their expectations. This is accomplished by volunteers providing supplemental support that is consistent with the VA Core values of trust, respect, excellence, commitment and compassion
Volunteers will:
- create an environment where trust and commitment are demonstrated
- respect the service of veterans' to their country
- provide excellence in every encounter with our veteran customers
- offer compassion to veterans and their families
