Safe comfortable housing will soon be available for families of veterans receiving health care at VA North Texas Health Care System, Dallas. Construction of a Fisher House, similar to Ronald McDonald House accommodations, will provide “a home away from home” at Dallas VA Medical Center-free temporary lodging for families of VA patients. The Fisher House includes a 21-suite 2 story house, complete with a common kitchen, laundry facilities, spacious dining room, living room, library, picnic pavilion and toys for children. An elevator will provide access to the second floor.
