Join VA North Texas as we celebrate the U.S. Army's 243rd Birthday in the Dallas VA Medical Center's Atrium June 14th at noon. Our guest speaker will be CSM Calvin J. Coler, (Ret.) from Killeen,Texas. There will be complimentary refreshments and a cake cutting with a representative from the executive office, youngest and oldest Soldiers and the guest speaker.

All Veterans, family members, patients, visitors and VA employees are invited to help us celebrate the U.S. Army's long and selfless service to our Nation. the United States Army has performed a variety of roles since June 14, 1775, when the Second Continental Congress authorized the establishment of a National Army. It has fought in 188 campaigns—from the Revolutionary War to the War on Terror. It has also performed peace-keeping operations and Military operations other than war. These operations have focused on resolving conflict, promoting peace, supporting civil authorities and playing a vital role in humanitarian operations that have saved millions of lives across the globe.
