Email a Patient for Veterans Day
We should never fail to let our Veterans know that their service and sacrifice for America's freedom is not forgotten. At VA North Texas, every day is Veterans Day, but the Nation remembers Veterans and celebrates their service every year on Veterans Day, November 11.
During this Veterans Day, we invite the public to send their personal note of thanks to Veterans who are hospitalized at VA North Texas facilities in Dallas and Bonham.
The Email a Patient program was originally established to give family and friends a way to stay connected when they cannot visit the hospital. But during Veterans Day, anyone can send an e-greeting to send cheer to a hospitalized Veteran.
Here’s how:
1. Go to www.northtexas.va.gov
2. Click on "Email a patient"
3. Input your greeting
4. Click submit
Each message is personally delivered by staff to a patient's bedside. It's a great way to let Veterans know they are appreciated, especially when they are in the hospital during Veterans Day.
The service is available Monday-Friday, except Federal holidays.
Veterans Day messages will be delivered November 6 – 16.
