National Salute is an annual event when the community comes together to show appreciation to Veterans for their service and sacrifice. Here is a list of activities happening at VA North Texas that are free and open to the public. Join us!

Monday, February 10
American Legion Auxiliary Unit 424 will hand out 500 tasty cakes to outpatients.

On location visiting hospitalized Veterans: Senator John Cornyn's Staff and Miss Michaela Larry, Denton County's Outstanding Teen.
          
Tuesday, February 11
American Legion Auxiliary Unit 424 will hand out 500 apples to outpatients.

10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Texas Winds will perform in the Atrium.

10 – 11 a.m.
American Legion Auxiliary Unit 453 will hand out crackers in the Atrium.

11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Meg Bordelon, Greater Dallas Daughters of the American Revolution, will pass out 400 candies in the Atrium.

Noon – 1 p.m.
Class Act Dance Group will perform in the Atrium.

Wednesday, February 12
Korean War Veterans will provide cookies and coffee to outpatients.

9 – 10 a.m.
American Legion Auxiliary Unit 424 and Ladies of Veterans of Foreign Wars will hand out Valentine's Day cards and candy in the Atrium.

9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
John Snapp will host a military display in the Atrium.

1 – 2 p.m.
New Horizons Band will perform in the Atrium.

On location visiting hospitalized Veterans: Congressman Kenny Marchant's Office.

Thursday, February 13
American Legion Auxiliary Unit 424 will hand out 500 Snapple products to outpatients.

9 – 10 a.m.
First and 2nd graders from St. Elizabeth School will perform in the Atrium.

9 a.m. – Noon
American Legion Riders will host a display with four bikes in the Atrium.

On location visiting hospitalized Veterans: Miss Mindy Lee, Miss Teen Garland 2012.

Friday, February 14 

9 – 11 a.m.
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will hand out squad photos in the Atrium.

10 – 11 a.m.
Frito Lay's Chester Cheetah will visit with Veterans in the Atrium.

10 a.m. – Noon
Baptist Academy 5th graders will hand out Valentine's Day cards in the Atrium.

On location visiting hospitalized Veterans: Congressman Sam Johnson's Office; Congressman Michael Burgess’s Office; Miss Amanda Van Syckle, Miss Texas Coed; and Miss Madison Hidreth, Twin River’s Outstanding Teen.
