Veterans Resource Center Hosts 'Walk in the Boots of a Veteran' September 11

September 11 is a national day of service and remembrance. VA North Texas Health Care System is joining Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity to pay special tribute to those who lost their lives and those who rose in service.

Veterans Resource Center
4900 S. Lancaster Rd.
Dallas, TX 75216
8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Walk in the Boots of a Veteran includes interactive sessions that follow the true stories of Veterans as well as organizations assisting Veterans with health care, employment, education and housing.

That is what the Veterans Resource Center is all about. The Veterans Resource Center is a one-stop shop for Veteran resources. There are staffed offices for Veterans Benefits Administration, Texas Veterans Commission, Vietnam Veterans of America, and AMVETS with space available for any organization that truly helps Veterans. The Veterans Resource Center is the brainchild of Ken Watterson, a Marine Corps Veteran who has not stopped serving since Vietnam.

VIPs attending include, former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback and Navy Veteran Roger Staubach, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and Dallas Councilman Dwaine Caraway.

Veterans and members of the community are invited to attend the special September 11 event and take advantage of the Veterans Resource Center.

Please call 214-678-2315 to register.
