2016 Annual Report

Serving heroes, celebrating access and growth.

2016 was a year focused on access and continued growth. Our nearly 6,000 employees served over 123,000 active patient Veterans from 40 counties and two states. We are constantly evaluated on our performance, where we are as a system performing level and in what areas do we need to improve. We made significant gains throughout 2016 in improving Veteran access to care, but our work is not complete nor can it be solely defined by metrics. In FY 16  we provided nearly 1.5 million episodes of care. We remained focused on ensuring our appointment wait times were among the lowest across VA.

Veterans deserve nothing less than the best a grateful nation can provide. We must remain committed to improving the patient experience. VA is there to honor and care for those who have answered the Nation's call. This commitment never diminishes over time.

Providing quality health care services to America's heroes from people dedicated to go the extra mile and do what they can every day to provide excellent care will be our continued focus as we move through 2017 and beyond.
