Application for Pharmacy Residency Program

Basic Requirements

  • Possess a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) from ACPE-accredited school/college.
  • Eligible for pharmacy licensure in Texas.
  • U.S. citizen
  • Registered with American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Matching Program.
  • Complete an on-site interview.

PGY1 Interviews

  • Interviews are granted to 20 to 30 applicants.
  • If an interview is granted, applicant will be contacted to coordinate interview date.
  • Applicants not granted interviews will be notified by February 15.
  • Interviews scheduled on Thursdays, January - March, 8 am - 3:30 pm. 
  • Applicant must deliver 20-minute disease state slideshow presentation using primary literature and critical evaluation of that literature. 
  • Applicant expected to use critical analysis and answer questions on that topic from experienced clinicians. 
  • Applicants will meet with one or more of current PGY1 residents.
  • Applicants will participate in group interview with residency council members.
  • Applicants will be required to write SOAP note after reviewing a given case.
