Ife Anachebe is a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident at VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Anachebe received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia before pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. Her practice interests include ambulatory care, diabetes management, and mental health. Dr. Anachebe is a member of the National Pharmacists Association, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and American College of Clinical Pharmacy. During her free time, Dr. Anachebe enjoys watching YouTube videos, cooking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.

Leslie Coons is a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident at VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. She is from Kansas City, Missouri and received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kansas.  Her practice interests include ambulatory care, management, and academia.  Leslie is a member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, the American Pharmacists Association, and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.  Most of her free time is spent cheering on her favorite teams – the Jayhawks, Royals, and Chiefs.  She also loves to run, relax at the lake, attend concerts, and spend time with family and friends.

Dr. Runeberg received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. Her practice interests include ambulatory care and academia. Dr. Runeberg is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), American Pharmacists Association (APhA), Rho Chi Honor Society, and Phi Lambda Sigma Honor Society. During her free time, Dr. Runeberg enjoys hiking, running, playing soccer, and spending time with her family.

Kwan Yuet is a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Yuet received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. Her current practice interest is ambulatory care, particularly diabetes management. During her free time, she enjoys watching HGTV, attending live events (sports, concerts, musicals), and spending time with friends and family.

Shavea N. Zapata Juan is a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident at VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Zapata Juan is also appointed as an Assistant Clinical Instructor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical sciences at the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla, PR before pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in Iowa City, IA. Her practice interests include ambulatory care, infectious disease, and academia. Dr. Zapata Juan is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, and Rho Chi. During her free time, she enjoys watching movies, listening to a wide variety of music, cooking, trying new foods and writing poetry.

Danni McMahan, PharmD

Danni McMahan is a PGY2 Ambulatory Care resident at VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy (TTUHSC-SOP) in Dallas, Texas. Dr. McMahan is also appointed as an Assistant Clinical Instructor at TTUHSC-SOP. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas before pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at TTUHSC-SOP and completing her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at the VANTHCS. Her practice interests include diabetes, mental health, research, and spinal cord injury (SCI). Currently, Dr. McMahan is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, and Rho Chi. During her free time, she enjoys watching soccer, reading, and going to the movies. Following completion of the PGY2 residency, Dr. McMahan plans to pursue a clinical specialist position that focuses on the treatment of those with SCI.

Trang Nguyen is currently a PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Resident at the VA North Texas Health Care System and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Nguyen graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Oklahoma in June of 2016. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. Her practice interests within ambulatory care includes diabetes, anticoagulation, and dyslipidemia. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, travel, and trying new food.

Timothy Burns, PharmD

Timothy Burns is completing his PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency at VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. He completed his doctorate of pharmacy at the Medical University of South Carolina and PGY1 residency at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. He is a member of MAD-ID and ASHP. Career interests include antimicrobial stewardship and microbiology. He is an avid golfer and outdoorsmen whose current favorite activities include walking downtown Dallas and White Rock Lake.  His dream vacation would be to snorkel/scuba dive in the pacific islands.

Parisa Khan, PharmD
Parisa Khan, PharmD

Parisa Khan is completing her PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency at VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Harding University College of Pharmacy and completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Parisa aspires to be an infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist at a teaching institution after her training is complete. She also plans to pursue a Masters of Public Health degree and become involved in public health research in the future. She describes the most rewarding experience of her pharmacy career to be participating in medical missions. Parisa has traveled to fourteen different countries so far and has her eyes set on Spain and Thailand as her next travel destinations.

Sarah Hausner is a PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Resident at VA North Texas Health Care System and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Hausner received her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Baylor University in Waco, TX and her Master of Education degree in school counseling from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM before pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Pharmacy in Oklahoma City, OK. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy in Chicago, IL. Her practice interests include schizophrenia, substance abuse, and geriatric psychiatry. Dr. Hausner is a member of the American Pharmacists Association, American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, and College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists. During her free time, Dr. Hausner enjoys traveling, running, and sporting events.

Bo Hyung Song is a PGY-2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Resident at VA North Texas Health Care System and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Song received her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Science and Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Stockton, California. She completed her PGY-2 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the VA North Texas Health Care System and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy in Dallas, Texas. Her practice interests include inpatient psychiatry, substance abuse, and schizophrenia. Dr. Song is currently a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Rho Pi Phi International Pharmacy Fraternity. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, finding new and good places to eat, and learning new dances.
